Temple Israel offices are open from 9am – 5pm Monday through Friday.
The clergy offices are closed every Monday.
The Temple offices and Temple cemetery are closed on the following Jewish holidays:
Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Simchat Torah, Passover
(1st and 7th day) and Shavuot, and on the following National holidays:
New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day,
Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
The TEMPLE ISRAEL Cemetery:
The cemetery hours are weekly 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and Sunday 10:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
DIRECTIONS TO THE CEMETERY:
From East Memphis:
West on I-240 (Poplar Entrance); north on I-240 (past Millbranch); exit right at Norris Road exit; left at stop sign (Hernando Road); stay on Hernando Road for one mile. On the right will be Forest Hill Cemetery, then Temple Israel Cemetery.
From Union Avenue (Mid-Town):
Going west on Union take left, going east on Union take right, on Bellevue (Elvis Presley).
Continue on Bellevue, past South Parkway East; at light (Person Avenue), take right. You will come to stop sign at Hernando Road; take left to South Section (old) or take right to North Section (new).
